Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Clear light amber with small fluffy white head. Citrus rind, grapefruit, malts, light metallic note. Quite a bit of bitter grapefruit, light pine, malt, pepper, fairly crisp bite in the finish. Light bodied but not watery, refreshing. Good session pale.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber colour with a short-lived bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, floral hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, herbal, floral, perfume palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Got lots of floral notes, but no grapefruit as promised on the pump clip.

Cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Deep gold with a small foamy head. Not quite clear. Lemon-lime Pixy Stix with some golden syrup and dried lemongrass. While it's a good beer, it isn't quite as complex as the aroma suggests: it's got a chalky citrus bitterness to it althoigh the malt is also prominent. Strange sort of thing. Angostura bitters and orange peel in the aftertaste. Full body for the ABV.
