Halcyon Gravity Well (Cherry)

Clean (gets very cloudy at last pour), rich amber colour with a red-ruby hue. The head is fizzy, beige, leaving quickly with just a trace of tiny-bubble ring. Sour nose with mostly balsamic vinegar notes. The cherries are in the background, bringing some sweetness, fruitiness to the rest. Some woodiness does come out from the barrel fermenting, and this in the taste as well. Again, the vinegar adding some tangy, sourness and the mild cherry flavours help having a shorter finish, which is fine. Just like their great normal, non-cherry version, this is pretty good. Just wish the cherries would be a tad punchier.
