A deep dark stout with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light coffee, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

Pours a real dark brown, almost black, with very little copper highlights. The head is bubbly, frothy, mocha-coloured with decent retention and some foamy spots. Roasted malt aromas with some dark fruit notes and very mild vanilla. This bean is felt just a tad more in the finish, lingering softly on the tongue. Other than that, good strong burnt barley with well-balanced hops building some dryness in the end. Some coffee, hints of bitter chocolate. A good Imperial Stout that does not overload with the vanilla.
