A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light lemony notes, tropical fruits, light Epsom salts, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light lemony notes, light Epsom salts, light kiwi, OK. On tap at brewery.

The span of time from when gose was a thing made by like 1 brewery in Leipzig to the time when every brewery made a gose and it always had a bunch of shit in it was probably six months long, but what a glorious time it was. Here we have a brewery that has delivered a straight gose from that illustrious era between March-Oct 2015. They named it after a gate that probably does not exist in Leipzig, a DDR town. (It's actually weirdo talk for a cattle grate, like Texas invented cows or something). Slight haze, just a thin head. Straight gose, mellow acidity, wheaty, nice saline character. So not kettle sour, clean, refreshing. Classic take.
