Notes: Low Vis is a rotating Hazy IPA series that is different each time we make it. Every ingredient is eligible to change, the only thing for sure is that it will be a hazy IPA. The name low vis is a nod to the sport of freediving in reference to the visibility in the water off Vancouver Island. This beer features the Strata hop out of Oregon, featuring layers of different fruit flavor, dried and fresh, anchored with a dried chili-cannabis-funk. Combined with the highly potent Citra T-45, orange peel and grapefruit show prominently in the beer. Notes of pineapple juice from a Dole fruit cup linger on the finish. Soft mouthfeel and a cloudy yellow/orange colour. Enjoy.

Opaque. Quite pale. Okay hop expression, not a ton of bitterness. Overall, this is decent but forgettable.

Version with Bru 1 and Sabro. A hazed yellow ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with resinous floral hops, citrus, light piney notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light dank notes, light citrus, light caramel, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

On tap at Whistle Buoy, pours an opaque, milky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very chalky, with some dank weedy hops, tons of chalk, and some hop burn. Flavour is chalky, with weedy hops, lots of stone fruit pith, and yeast soup. Chalky and yeast — at least it doesn't have hop burn — has too many qualities I can't stand in this style. Poor.
