Don’t call it a culmbach.
Actually, call it what you want. Joe & Holly dreamt up this
Kulmbacher Export-Style Lager for Joe’s (our Director of People Operations) anniversary beer. This dark, hoppy lager was once the pride of Kulmbach, Germany before inspiring imitations around the world.
Joe’s had too many titles to count in his eight years here but his love of beer and the human connections it creates continues to grow. Cheers to Joe and his almost 2 decades shaping the future of craft beer!

Brewery draught, 12/21/24.
Dark, clear. Small, dark beige head.
Rich malt with milk chocolate, mild roast, light coffee and moderate caramel. Good acidity and ends with earth, mineral and yeast. Clean, aromatic.
Richly malted with excellent chocolate character up front turning to mild roasted coffee before a caramel and lightly dark-fruited finish. Healthy bitterness with a medium body and good attenuation on the finish.
