Boston commutes can be brutal, except for those lucky enough to trade gridlock for the ferry, gliding across Boston Harbor on a traffic-free journey. That’s the true “Express Way.”
We channeled that same effortless vibe into Express Way IPA, crafted with New Zealand-grown Peacharine hops from our friends at Freestyle. Drawing inspiration from our trusted Street Series IPA formula of grist and dry-hopping, we’ve created a beer with bold, impactful characteristics.
Bursting with vibrant aromas of ripe peach and nectarine, it’s layered with zesty citrus notes that mirror on the palate. Smooth, balanced, and easy-drinking, with near-zero bitterness, it’s perfect for unwinding after the daily grind.

Aromas are citrus, MJ, resin, stone fruit and malt - really fresh. Flavors are similar to nose with citrus, MJ standing out. Great balance between bitter, sweet and slightly soft carbonation. Nice beer.

Sample at The Draft Room. Hazy yellow pour with a medium frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, stone and tropical fruits and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pours a hazy, peach-banana, with smallish head. Aroma is a touch astringent, with citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor follows, including the astringency. Mouthfeel a bit thin. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.

Draught @ City Beer, Manhattan (March 2025). Extremely hazy bright yellow with a small foamy off-white head, citrus peel-unripe mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter melon, citrus peel, mango taste, smooth body, long juicy finish. Very smooth and juicy.

Canton draught, 12/22/24.
Almost milky. Slight maize-golden. Small, creamy, white head.
Earthy mineral, white wine, mild pineapple and juicy, spicy, tropical fruits. Very clean, bright, snappy and with no hop twang/punch/resin. Very aromatic, with honey-like malts and light biscuit.
Juicy, spicy with dry chalk and pith. Soft biscuit and honey-like malt but very, very attenuated leading to a bit too much palate-drying. But only just a bit. Otherwise, the hop expression is killer and has no twang or punchy character. Excellent spice and all-around flavors.
