A quadrupel based beer with intense Kriek flavor aged for 4 months in bourbon barrels with cherries. This beer was compiled by the Logsdon crew of 4 with 4 of our initial seizoen yeast strains and 4 more cultures of Brettanomyces and lactic bacteria. Krieke Vier is a big beer with great flavor intensity and incredible cherry complexity that is smooth and easy to drink.

Flaska från Beergium drucken med ölföreningen. Riktigt fin doft med fat, vanilj, körsbär. Smaken är komplex utan att vara svår. Bärig men ändå sammetslen. Tanniner och syra, bourbon, vanilj, fat, körsbär, kärnor, mandel. Mycket gott.

750ml bottle. Hazy, rood bruin colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Earthy, fruity aroma, notes of cherry, preserved cherry, minimally funky and tangy overtones. Taste is initially sour, fruity, notes of cherry, later minimally sweet with hints of Bourbon, vanilla, some oak, some toffee; minimally tannic, astringent finish, sauerkraut sourness. Somehow light and watery, completely hidden alcohol until shortly before the finish: then still watery but slightly boozy. Slightly too sour, restricted, monotonous, astonishingly watery, rather un-integrated BA flavours - substandard Logsdon stuff.

Bottle at Salud courtesy of Hasheem, thanks! Pretty purple color. Lots of cherries in the aroma. Even more in the taste with a decent amount of tartness.

Muddy light brown, no head, bretty, woody and lightly fruity. Solid, complex beer. I like the fruit accent, and the base beer is really nice.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is unusual, with light bourbon, tart cherries, and a touch of oak. Flavour is unusual as well, but more cohesive than the nose suggests, with a nice mix of tart cherries, oak, acidity and a touch of bourbon. Pleasantly acidic, oaky and tart. Really good.

A pour from the bottle on Black Christmas V. BB 02-2022. Pours a deep hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is fruity with sour and cherry notes. Some bourbon and barrel character too. Similar taste with moderate to high acidity. Good, but I would prefer less of acidity.
