Bottle. Blackish beer with a tan head. Malt and toffee aroma with light fruitiness. Malt and caramel flavor with toffee and light spice. Medium-plus bodied. Malt and toffee lingers with spice, brown sugar, and light vegetal notes.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color, almost black, with tan compact head. The aroma has some fruity esters that remind me of American attempts at Strong Belgian beers. The flavor is more interesting (7.5); the dark malts are very nice, with a touch of roasty, and roasted nuts, some molasses; it has a good body structure, very light spices if any, and comforting alcohol warmth. I can see this one with strong cheese.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange chestnut, small tan head, some lacing. Aroma is roasty, allspice, clove, anise. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, medium spice. Medium body.

Bottle. Pours a medium depth brown color and topped with a thin beige cap. The nose immediately reminds me of altbier; much that of the base sleigh’r. Sweet brown sugar too. The taste is heavily sweet, but not cloyingly so. More brown sugar, some banana, and esters. Minimal amount of pumpkin. Different take on the typical pumpkin beer, but something about it doesn’t click...

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish hue and a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of pumpkins, along with caramel and brown sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with caramel, brown sugar, pumpkins and some fairly prominent heat on the finish. Nice residual sweetness on the finish. One of the better pumpkin beers I've had recently. Very nice.

Poured from tap at Aces and Ales Vegas red brown pour with an off white head. Aromas of spice and roasted malt. Taste is sweet malt bomb with caramel and lingering spices. Interesting.

Bomber. Aroma is floral, dried fruit, earth, roast, licorice, coffee, chocolate. . Pours murky dark brown to frickin black; medium beige head that falls after a minute. Taste is sweet with a bitter finish. Pumpkin is there but hard to find. Kind of harsh.

22oz bomber pours with an amber colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting malt and dark roasted malt and molasses infused pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon like spices to go along with a dash of spicy black licorice. The taste is smooth and has a richness to it where malts, caramel malts and a bit of molasses are happy to greet cinnamon and nutmeg and anise like spiciness as well as a dash of pie crust from time to time. This is nice and smooth and spicy with an extra layer of sweetened dark roasted malt and mild pumpkin notes off in the background. Pretty solid and a pleasant sipper.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is spicy with a touch of veg/gourd. Med + body. Maybe full. Flavor is smooth darkish malt with some pie type spices and treacle. It’s fairly strongly flavored, and it’s not very dry. But it’s got the imperiality going for it, and it really does taste pretty good. Sort of like food in terms of impact. Might be the "pumpkin" ale of the year. Excellent.

On tap clear deep chestnut brown. thin but dense tan head and heavy lasting lacing. Very nie warm smooth chocolaty spiciness in the aroma and flavors. Smooth slick and very nice.
