A statement made for the last of our days. Built with a six-malt backbone, this imperial stout isn’t just black, it’s ultra black, ready to drink fresh or cellared for a year or two. No matter your preference, this beer is our pure expression of the rarely unmolested classic American imperial stout.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of creamy coffee, roasted malts and a bit of vanilla. Flavors of dark chocolate, black coffee, roasted malts and just a little cream and vanilla. Solid.

Dark brown, no head. Sort of a toasty aroma. Palate is sweet, underhopped, some caramel, touch of coffee, not much body for 10%. Okay this has some ok malt development but nowhere near the malt or hop richness the style demands. It’s a poor man’s Baltic. I mean, it's their first impie so we'll see what happens next.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Semi-sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, licorice and coffee in a dry, bitter, warming booze finish. Medium to full body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent candidate for barrel aging.

Roast and smoke. Some caramel. A little off sense, like vegetable or something, but it's light. Black pour with decent head. Bittersweet finish with some mash tang. Can.

473mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of big roasted malt, woody notes, and gentle hops. Flavour is rich and roasty, with roasted malt, dark sugars, ample hops, and some woodiness. Sturdy and well-balanced, with a woody, roasty finish. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Black with small beige head. Roast malt, some slightly fruity notes, decent, could be interesting with a rum barrel to accentuate the fruit notes. Okay.
