Crisp and clear light pink coloured body with a thinnish white head, only a centimetre tall, if that. Aroma of tart cranberries, a touch of dry malt and some wheat components with a dry but pungent icing sugar aroma as well, noticeable towards the end. Super light-bodied; Crisp and tart grassy and cranberry flavours dominate with a deep soured and light bitter note from the grapefruit and grasses with a touch of fructose and icing sugar flavours towards the end, but all super dry, light and incredibly tart. Aftertaste is soft and subtle with the cranberries by far the strongest flavour, but some light sugars, a touch of dry malt and a good deal of grassy notes make this very soft, subtle and easy-drinking throughout, but with a good bitter and noticeable profile dealt straight-forward with the inclusion of cranberries. Overall, a nice beer that shows more of a Berliner Weisse [read: ALE] and less of a lager, but with the former being true, it's almost better for the rating that this actually is a lager! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Ted's Package Store in Charlton, Massachussets on 28-June-2016 for US$5,09 sampled in congratulations of the New England Patriots wining their sixth Super Bowl in twelve years on 03-February-2019, while at home in Washington.

Draught at Meadhall, 7/28/16.
Very lightly hazy, soft-cranberry-tinged beige-golden body. Beige head atop is small and quickly fleeting.
Nutty wheat, biscuit and soft cranberry acids show a competent and to-style aroma that is nonetheless very simple. If there is barrel-aging here, it doesn’t add much. Perhaps very light lactic notes.
Tart, with a strong wheat element and pleasant, rather mild cranberry acids and fruit flavors. Moderate carbonation, engaging at times, with no alcohol or flaw. Just kind of there. Competent enough and free of flaw, but has very little bite to it, nor is the texture all that enjoyable, being overly chewy/biscuity. Not terribly surprising, given that their base berliner weisse is a very odd rendition of the style (very, very wheat-driven, very low on tartness/lactic brightness and with a big, chewy body). So basically add some cranberry acids to that....
