Draught at the brewery, 7/16/16.
Light amber-golden bodied with a full cloudiness and opacity, though not quite as hazy as peeptoad. White head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate retention.
Juicy pineapple combines with strong grapefruit and light pine but nicely free from resin. Lots of juiciness here and yet another successful NE IPA from these guys. Slightly more succulent malts show a little more honey/caramel than the other beers on, but it’s equally helpful in balancing the stronger, more assertive hoppiness. Oranges, limes, nectarines linger with a good minerality/house yeast character and no alcohol or flaw.
Juicy and nicely bitter, with the best of both West Coast and NE worlds. Grapefruit, nectarine, orange and mango, with soft, moderately sweet honey and caramel and a malty, finely carbonated texture. Definitely more assertive and bitter than their other pales and ipas I’ve tried but still wonderfully well-done.
