Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a light tart fruit and some funk with an underlying peaty smoke backing. Flavor has light tart fruits up front with a growing peat and a hint of funk underlying.

Bottle - turbid gold, no head - I bought this because I found it on sale and have been curious about it, since I love smoked beers - it doesn't really deliver on the promise of it's packaging, perhaps because the sourness and buggy character overwhelm everything - I mean, I can tell there's smoke, but it seems more like a subtle phenol - this is mostly one-dimensional sourness and some savoriness - disappointing, as I've been impressed with some of TRVE's products as of late.

Tap@MBCC 2018 Red Session, Copenhagen - golden coloured pour with white head. Sour fruit and notes of smoke, burnt straw, charred hay, grain, some grape like notes, yeast, medium to light body, tart and smoked finish.

Bottle 375ml. @ home. [ As TRVE Dhumavati ].ABV: 7.1%. Light unclear medium to light yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate yeasty, funky, rubber, tart, leather, light smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, rubber, smoked, citric, odd, tart apple, leather, dry. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [5/12/18] Draught sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018. Red session. Hazy yellow. Smoky, funk, fruity, tart, juicy, citric. Very good. Interesting.

Keg at MBCC 2018 Red (session Trois), 11/05/18. Light golden blonde pour with a decent off white covering. Nose is smoke, mellow peat, lemon pissoi, singed straw. Taste comprises smoked malts, grains, light spice, tea leaves, lemon tinged straw, Lapsang tea notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable ... a touch disjointed and smoke heavy ... nothing I'd revisit.

EBF 2018: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is super smoky and really funky. Sourness at front with underlying smoke. Interesting and well done.
