Draught at the brewery, 7/3/16.
Lighter in color than the Ozone, with a deep copper-bronze color, minimally hazy, as are all their beers, with a frail white head atop.
Stronger hop presence than the Ozone, with more juiciness including light mango, peach and strawberry. Spicy, dank notes are lightly noted and enjoyable while still some resin persists, as well as light alcohol. Ruby red grapefruit emerges, as the hop notes mix with the base and pils malts, though it certainly never comes off "sweet". Again, as with the ozone, there are some enjoyable whirlpool/dry hop elements here, but the bittering hop is overdone creating sour pineapple, dill and stewed pine. The lack of substantial base malt also contributes to perceived alcohol, grain and some weird ester/phenol notes (dill, heavy peach, hot booze).
The texture is a bit softer, probably thanks to the oats, but it’s still got some hardness to it and it’s very dry. Carbonation is perfect.
