Can drunk 7/2/16 at Three Tides.
High clarity with some light haze to this deep golden-brass bodied beer. White head atop is large and well-retained.
What a strange hop. Been a LONG time since I’ve had a single hopped palisade beer....lemon and lime are light in the nose with a motueka-like earthy/leafiness. Some sugary-lemon notes are strange and slightly out of place, though seem to be joined by a softer, less sugary orange sherbet note. Some light nips of pine are notable throughout the nose while more citrus and soft spiciness linger. No alcohol or flaw. Malts are sparse and show biscuit/cracker.
Soft, malty texture with high carbonation, fairly engaging. Moderate to moderately-high bitterness with tons of key lime, lime zest and more citrus. Biscuity malts divulge light honey; generally enough to balance, while there’s still a weird sugary-lemon character on the finish. Woodiness and light pine linger as well with no alcohol or flaw. WEIRD hop.
