Keg at the Night Shift taproom. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of citrus, lightly tangy lemon, some funk. Medium sweet flavour with light caramel, bread, tart berries, mild acetic burn. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming on the finish with moderate acidity, more lemon, tart berries. Good one.

Draught at the brewery, 2/13/16.
A minimally hazy copper-to-light-amber body is topped by a small amount of off-white head that shows low retention.
Quite heavy on the barrel, with a very large amount of toasted oak, lightly buttery and very pervasive. Brett seems rather forceful as well, though I don’t know if that’s just the combination with alcohol and other esters, but nothing here seems soft, subtle or terribly funky, just sharp, acidic and toasty....
Same with the flavor, with a huge bready-toastiness, fatiguingly so. Bourbon or whiskey-like spiciness and lots of barrel tannin with sweet caramel, tons of sharp, acidic lemon character and very little redeeming qualities, to be honest. Not terribly easy to even finish a small, 10 oz glass. Carbonation and texture are, at least, commendable. Tight and ample, with a slick, tannic feel to it.
