From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow, small white head. Aroma is grassy and slight citrusy hoppy. Mild herbal. Bitter and slight herbal hoppy. Toasted malt base. Bitter and slight herbal finish.

Can pour into shaker pint glass from Whole Foods Market. Appearance is hazy orange with yellow-green tinge, tons of sparkle at the sides of the glass, finger-plus width white rocky foam head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong lemony citrus, tropical fruit, malt backbone. Taste is citrus with dank, earthy resin, late biscuit. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and fairly dry mix of lemony sweet and bitter finish. Overall, lemony citrus is a little too strong--sort of Pledge-like--and mix with better is not my favorite, but is decent overall.

Pours a standard amber from a tap. Nice tropinal aroma with a bit of pine, similar flavor. Good beer.

Draught at Deep Ellum, 2/7/16.
Brassy-clear-golden body shows light carbonation and a small, but moderately well-retained white head atop.
Citrus, light peach/nectarine, dry biscuits and very light caramel/honey character in the background. Hops smell fresh enough, but it’s a pretty heavy citrus assault and the light stone fruits don’t really do too much to detract/distract from that. No finesse or really anything to set this apart from an early 2000’s IPA. At least it’s not full of crystal malts, I guess?
Heavily bitter, stewed hop flavor quickly builds up and fatigues the palate. Citrus, pine, resin and very light pineapple, with light toasted malt sourness. Sweetness doesn’t particularly balance the heavy resin and yet it still seems too sweet. Kind of like a sculpin where they subbed out some of the sugar for more bitterness, which doesn’t accomplish anything. Clean, though, so there’s that. These guys are about 10 years late to the game....
Draught at Dorchester Brewing, where production has been moved (for at least this batch), 2/4/17.
Well, this is still awful. Sweaty, sour, grainy, over-boiled hops. Almost lactic. Undermalted and still somehow underfermented. Awful.
