Draught at Stoked, 3/15/17.
Hazy, brass-golden with a yellow and very light rose-speckled, off-white head atop that shows moderately-low retention.
The nose is a bit odd and slightly off. Some light grass mixes with a touch of light bile, mostly passing as melon and lactic acid linger on the finish. Seems very muted; there’s a strong dullness, almost chalky/yeasty that really hampers the aroma and brightness. Acidity seems a bit separated from the rest of the beer.
In the mouth, the carbonation is engaging and quite strong, with a fairly soft, wheat-laden texture and strong attenuation. Lightly fruity but again bothered by a very strong mineral-like dryness and a weird grassy character. Not sulphur (as I love sulphur in my beers) and difficult to describe. Lots of lactic acid lingering.

Sampled at the source in a 4 ounce taster. Slightly hazy gold in color thin fizzy carbonation. Aroma is lemon juice, sour wheat, tropical fruit, and melon rind.
Sour wheat base with lemon juice tartness. Fruit is here toward the finish and becomes a very sour pucker in the taste buds. Good pop of sourness with fruit for some balance.

Growler from the source. Pours a fairly clear deep yellow color with a decent sized but short lived bubbly white head. Lemony tart with bits of sour cherry and lots of melon and hints of over ripe sweet tropical fruit. Quite quaffable for a fruited Berliner.
