Draught at the brewery, 2/4/17.
Dark amber with blonde and golden hues, clear with a thin, beige head atop showing low retention.
Light smoke in the nose shows just a touch of dry wood, very light ash and no heavy meat/bacon/campfire. Peppery phenols are beside it, with light caramel, bread and dough from the malts, as well.
In the mouth it’s light, somewhat undermalted, though ending with an odd, sticky sweetness. Bread, dough, pepper and moderately enjoyable smokiness here with light to moderate carbonation and no alcohol. The smoke character is good but the beer character is quite lacking.

[2/4/17] Draught at Dorchester Brewing Company in Dorchester. Golden. Smoked sausages, malt, sweet, caramel.
