Dark brass with bright amber hues, a gentle haze and a small, beige head showing low retention.
Very spicy, fragrant nose shows a bit of chamomile-like richness with a powdery character and tons of soft honey. Light citrus dots the nose, helping increase the brightness while no alcohol or flaw is noted.
As usual, my powers of description severely fail when describing gruits, but this one is quite spicy but has a good sweet-tart juxtaposition. The damiana, which I think is providing the chamomile-like character, really helps soften everything. There’s a strong salinity to the beer and it ends with a graininess that is fought off by an at the same time soft, tickling sensation on the palate. Weird stuff, as usual, but dripping with quality. Tight carbonation, no alcohol or flaw.
