Draught at Canary Square, 12/6/16.
Clear blonde with light bronze and a hint of chill haze topped by a thin white head.
Hay, light wool sock, strong sugar and light caramel all seem rather unfocused and certainly not very saison-like. Light floral and pepper notes on the finish...
In the mouth it’s too sweet, with honey and caramel coming across much too strong for a saison. Light banana and clove don’t dominate, but there’s little here of elegance, with minimal black pepper and too much grassiness throughout. Low to moderate carbonation, somewhat thin in texture despite the surplus of sugar.

12 oz. can purchased at 7 Eleven, Kittery. Gold pour, white head. Aroma of yeast, bread, floral, lemons. Tastes are yeasty banana, hay, light herbal (peppery) finish. Also has a strong amount of bitterness or it could be the black pepper.
Light in body with a decent crispness after the sip. It is subtle, light and mostly traditional. Average.
