375 mL from the brewery. Gentle gusher, not bad for a year in the bottle. Very hazy orange, large dense creamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of strong brett, funk, dry grapefruit. The taste is funk, leather, stone fruit, brett, oak. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Nice.

375 ml bottle, Purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Almost clear good laden straw type color. Aroma has a good amount of Brettanomyces, mild oak, a decent amount of orange zest.
The Brettanomyces is slowly starting to grab ahold of the flavor. The pale malt shows the backbone with a mild citrus followed by a subtle oak finish. This has been in my fridge about 2 weeks. Not sure when it was bottled but glad I popped it now. I like having the hops present in a sour. Having a hop profile is the only way I can really enjoy a sour ale. Nice brew.

Draught at King’s Head, 11/23/16.
Lightly hazy, bright bronze-golden body is topped by a small white head showing moderate retention.
Really well-expressed brett in the nose is fruity and shows just a touch of mild band aid. Citrus is fragrant but not overdone, with juicy lime mixing with the base malt that adds honey and graham cracker notes. Barrel is extremely light, probably wouldn’t even realize this was barrel-aged, TBH. Which is fine with me. Round, soft, even and with only mildly fruity hop traces left behind, that complement the brett and easygoing maltiness.
Very impressed by the flavor and texture. Extremely well-conditioned and the brett is nicely restrained, showing no perfume, bread, punchy-twang or heavy citrus. Tangerine, peach, honey and very soft wood tannin with a malty texture, good dryness and tight carbonation. Wow. My appreciation for Banded Horn just went up tenfold after having this.
