500 ml bottle with dating of 11/04/16. Crystal clear golden color, thin bubbley white head. Aroma is grassy, scallion, pale malt. The flavor is pretty bright. But German hops? I believe only because the Brewer says so, but it seems like Mosaic or Galaxy variety. Mouthfeel is light and clean. Nice

Bottled 11/4/16, drunk 11/17/16.
Good clarity, with just a touch of haze and a very pale golden body with a medium-sized, white head of moderate retention.
Very subdued nose shows very light herbal hop notes giving way to soft melon and pommelo notes (wakatu). Biscuit and wheat behind everything softens things even more so and the finish has bits of lime, grapefruit, melon, herb and light pepper. Very clean, no alcohol.
In the mouth it’s decidedly soft, subdued and very wheat and biscuit-like, malt-wise. Soft textures thanks to the malty body and tight carbonation. Very little sweetness and lots of melon and herbs. Sounds kind of odd, the wakatu and the German hops together, but it works just fine, mostly on account of the extremely minimal bitterness. Clean, mild, incredibly easy-drinking. Not at all what I was expecting, but quite delicious and a nice break from the big bitterness that most of their beers have.

Poured into a pilsner glass, the appearance was a light yellow color with a nice transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Rings of foamy lace form around the glass nicely.
The aroma starts off with sharp citrus to piney to grassy sweet and bitter hops. Subtle spicy effect after a little bit of warming. Bready to sweet biscuity malts play in the underneath portion.
The flavor leans bready sweet and cleanly moves into a bright citrusy sweet to bitter pine hoppiness so crisp and smooth. Clean fresh piney to citrusy bready aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Mild carbonation seems to hit appropriately with appropriate bitter harshness.
Overall, damn nice India pale lager. Lager yeast moves in to keep those hops balanced well enough that I would love to have again with some lobster rolls with this.

Pours a slightly hazy straw from a bottle. Aroma is hay, flavor is similar with maybe some green tea. Nicely dry and light. Good beer.
