Draught at the brewery, 10/23/16.
Clear, apple cider-beeswax colored beer is topped by a thin white head showing moderately-low to low retention.
Bright, spicy spicebush in the nose gives a bevy of notes ranging from apple cider, to cinnamon, clove and allspice dram. White pepper and very light honey character balance and soften as bright acidity lasts for days on the end. Even a touch of candied orange rind character in there. No alcohol or flaw.
Even more enjoyable is the flavor, with the same apple, cinnamon, allspice dram thing going on and a bit of honey-vanilla to balance. Light graininess with spritzy carbonation creating a crisp and quenching finish. It was close which I liked more between this and Gallow’s Harvest. Despite this one being slightly less complex, the drinkability aspect and sheer poignancy of enjoyable flavors here put this one a little ahead of that, in my book. Really, really unique, awesome stuff.

4 oz. sample at the source. Low carbonation is a hazy golden color. Aroma is salt, sour wheat and herbs. Interesting.
Flavor is salty, sweet and sour. Sourness comes right upfront then herbal through the center. It also has a slightly sweet note. Actually really nice.
