16 ounce can purchased at 7 Eleven, Kittery. Mostly clear Amber color, thin head. Well, nothing but fruit in the aroma, melon, apricot skin, yeasty fruits. Bubblegum?? The flavor is not what I expected at all. Mild toasted grain base with odd fruit hints. More yeast hints rather than actual hop flavor. Overall, this is bit of an odd duck. Not a repeat visit.

Sample glass at Prohibition Pig.
The appearance was a light hazy, rich amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Moderate speckled lacing.
The aroma had a ton of sweet fruity orange, strawberries, red grapefruit and a balancing caramel character from the malt. Some white pepper with an ample amount of breadiness. Ample earthiness.
The flavor leans semi-sweet with the malts with some bubblegum malts roaming in. Some cherries and caramel malts assist in the maltiness. Subtle dry malty aftertaste with a smooth crisp fruity finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionabiltiy about it.
Overall, good saison for the most part. Or weird earthy amber. Is this a blend of an amber to a saison? Possibly. Me, I could still have it again.

Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Lightly hazy, rich amber colored body is topped by a beige head showing moderate retention.
VERY fruity in the nose. Wow. Canned mandarin oranges, strawberries, over-ripe ruby red grapefruit and a balancing caramel character from the malt. Seems rather sweet, not over-the-top so, but more than most amber ales. Very estery. Where is all this fruit coming from?
In the mouth it’s just a bubble gum bomb. Not even intensely sweet or anything, just the very distinct, very strong flavor of bubble gum ester. Otherwise, it has a malty-soft texture and ample carbonation. Cherries, caramel, apples, strawberries and ruby red grapefruit linger on the bubble gum-laden finish. Weird. This was only my 3rd sample of the day, so it definitely wasn’t my palate.

LSAT Freedom Trip #32. Tallboy can shared by my friend Eric! Clear copper, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, apples, lemon. The taste is caramel, apples, tea, lemon and a faint vegetal note that is almost verging on something worse. Drink these quickly if you have them! Medium bodied,
