Pours slightly hazed yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention turns soapy as it recedes leaving spider lacing. Apple and pear aromas. Crisp with sweet apple, pear and apricot upfront turning to light band aid and aspirin before the medium length lemon pith finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma is soft lemony yeast with black pepper. Flavor has mild yeast characteristics. (Banana, bubblegum). The balance comes from the lemony and pepper notes. Nicely dry and crisp texture. Thirst quenching!

Can pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's a lightly hazy bright yellow with nice sparkle, thin cap of white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is citrus, clove, wheat, bubblegum. Taste is strong sweet/tart citrus, clove, wheat, yeast. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong aroma and flavor with decent complexity. Pretty nice saison!

Draught at Return of the Belgian Beer Fest, 9/17/16 as Saison de Foam 2.0 (same abv).
Very pale golden body shows good clarity and a small, but fairly well-retained white head atop.
Very light simcoe-like notes in the nose of lime, light pine and some dank, spicy vegetal character. It works with the dry, peppery, vegetal yeast notes and produces an overall peppery, spicy, somewhat citric-laden nose that seems to be right up there with some of Oxbow’s hybrid American-hopped table saisons. Great attenuation, with biscuit and cracker-like malts in the background and no resin, alcohol or flaw.
Light tartness up front takes the form of lemon-lime-like acidity as very soft esters (apple, bubble gum, strawberry) collect about on the soft palette of wheat and biscuit-like malts, nicely dry and further softened by the tight carbonation. A bit of bitterness followed by a good dose of black pepper phenolic character ends on more biscuity malt, lightly tart acids and interesting vegetal notes that I think are hop-derived. Awesome, highly drinkable stuff.

On tap at the brewery.
They poured this into a tall tulip (maybe stemmed pilsener).
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Adequate sly to thin foamy lacing.
The smell had a huge stiff farmhouse funk up front bursting over some fresh sweet grassiness. Delicate black pepper. Refined sweet citrus pulp. Balanced bitternesss.
The flavor takes in all previously mentioned flavors - nice funk with the sweet, subtle sour and then the spice. Sly breadiness lingers and slides together to bring into aftertaste (quite subtle yet really good). Semi-sticky to wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Spiciness is there but semi-contained harsh bitterness of the citrus rind invades to bring about the balanced sweetness.
Overall, damn nice saison, one of those Summer saisons that has a nice refreshing aspect to it. Would love to have again.
