Draught at the brewery, 12/31/17.
Glassy, bright cantaloupe-to-maize-copper with no head.
Earthy, mossy and lightly savory with mint-like notes on the end and a touch of cereal, caramel and honey for the malt backing. Not too tart or acidic and though it's pretty jam-packed with herbs, it still comes off clean, not muddled and very intriguing.
As usual, my gruit-describing powers fall short, especially with this one. But there's tons of white pepper-like character mixing with spicy mint and dry, earthy moss. Malt interjects more classic honey and biscuit while light bread yeast and dough sit on the finish. Marmalade and pepper, with yellow fruit and apple linger. Soft, malty texture with moderate, engaging carbonation and high attenuation. No alcohol or flaw. Strange but good.

Sample at the Nano brewery. Looks like an odd shade of amber. No head retention. Medium sweet in flavor with dried berries, bready malts, herbal grass, and peach skins. palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with crisp carbonation and a dry, spicy, herbal finish. I can’t say what catnip tastes like but it was used. Perhaps I should ask a feline? Overall, a damn tasty and unique offering as are all the gruits brewed here.
