Draught at the brewery, 12/31/17.
Copper-golden with a light haze and an immediately-fizzling ring of bubbles.
Smells tart and full of interesting acidity, though not souring bacteria. Lots of pepper and savory herbs with moderate ester character adding light pear, apple and a touch of banana. Malt structure seems deep and balances easily, adding honey, caramel and light biscuit with no alcohol or flaw on the peppery, mint-graced finish.
In the mouth it's nicely malty with strong attenuation and low but engaging carbonation. Pepper, earth, tart berry skins and lots of red apple, with lingering honey-caramel and a drying character. No alcohol or flaw. Much more gruit than anything else, which is usually the case with EE's beers.

4 oz. taster at the source. Hazy bright yellow in color. Aroma shows me dried flowers, pale grain, yeast, and green herbs. Again another tuff one to describe.
The flavor is very herbal and green. Dead flowers, with the slightest amount of yeast in the background. The finish has some sweetness but the herbs kick in. Rides the border of becoming overly herbal.
