Draught at the brewery, 12/31/17.
Amber-golden with a slight, chill-haze to it and a small ring of bubbles that dissipates immediately.
Sulfur and mustard are strong and spicy in the nose, with a gooseberry and other various bright acid-like character to it, as well. No alcohol or flaw with light honey, biscuit, earth and a mild ester profile showing mild yellow fruit, no clove and moderate white pepper lingering.
In the mouth it's very fruity, soft, malty but showing strong attenuation with lots of pepper, grass, various spice and , probably for the best, no boar's head. Very light hint of phenolic smoke is the extent there and the Belgian character is very relaxed overall. Light white pepper and mild yellow fruits. Not too much of a trippel, but more gruit-ish, as usual. Whatever the hell it is, it's delicious.

Tap at Earth Eagle, Portsmouth. Color is clear dark orange with very small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, some berries, caramel, some spices and malts. If I am right they have boiled boar heads and used boiling water in brewing process. Please tell me why.

4 oz. taster at the source. The aroma is different; cured meat, salt, and mild Belgian yeast notes. If I was think the nose is odd, the flavor is just as strange. The yeast presence is here yet, it gives way to a salty, cured sausage flavor. The finish is a tad dry. I have had a lot of odd ales from Butch at EEB, this certainly is another Enigma. Off the wall yet again. Left me scratching my head after the sample.
