Draught at the brewery, 12/10/17.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, maize-golden with a small white head showing moderate-to-low retention.
Pineapple, papaya, banana and moderate clove show a blend of yeast and hop with a kiss of honey and more cracker-like grains behind it. Not exactly a subtle yeast character here, nor particularly enjoyable, IMHO. It's the ultra-Americanized, banana-bubble gum-clove, which I think is far, far inferior to the pepper-apple-pear-mineral-plaster character you get from Dupont and Blaugies and such.
In the mouth it's more hot banana and bubble gum. Yuck. Hops are a bit tacky, especially when taken with the yeast. Pineapple-mango-papaya. Lightly bready, cereal-like malts and vanilla character with low, somewhat engaging carbonation. Ya, just an American "saison", aka tacky "Belgian" ale. Not my thing at all.

Growler from the source. Hazy lemon yellow color with a good sized tightly bubbled white head that leaves lots of stickies on the glass. Lots of spice peppery earthy citrus lemony hoppy with hints of pine. Pretty tasty spicy saison.

Taster pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is hazy yellow-green, with a 1-inch white foamy head (though they were having problems with the tap). Aroma is fruit, yeast, mild fruity esters. Taste is a tart funk, mild bitterness, wheat, bubblegum, hint of clove. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation with finish like taste. Overall, some nice complexity in the flavor.

Sample at the brewpub. Hazy pale golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, fruity yeast and malt. The finish is dry with a peppery yeast and fruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
