The tale of the Wood Devil has been traveling with New Hampshire hikers for many years. Much like Bigfoot, New Hampshire Wood Devils are legendary, but are rumored to have sharp teeth and a thin stature which helps them hide among the trees in New Hampshire's north country. Wood Devil double Dry Hopped Double IPA boasts a huge tropical and citrus nose with a clean, but assertive bitterness.

Lightly hazy tangerine with an off-white head that fades steadily to cover/ring.
Floral and fruity in the nose, nice and soft with a light melon backing. Some lime and juicy orange emerges with warming/breathing.
Tastes soft and mild with light juiciness. Nothing flashy or overly flavorful/hoppy, but very solid with a soft, malty texture and good attenuation. Probably the most important thing here is that it's not overdone on the bittering hop.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a thin film of a little white head. Messy lace.
The aroma had some pine and orange pulp initially and then had a good malt base of toffee and caramel bits. Some cereal grains.
The flavor copied the aroma in an old school sort of way but with a slight juiciness to it. Aftertaste was a nice blend of malts to hops, bitter and sweet but not fully blended. Slight sort of malty finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionable to sticky sipping sort of quality about it. Not cloying but almost. ABV felt fine and the carbonation felt fine.
Overall, first time I ever had Long Trail’s Space Juice I thought it was phenomenal and in a sense it still is in the same way that this beer is. I wonder if we have a new IPA style developing - \"Old School DIPA?\" Not sure, but this would be in that category along with Space Juice.

Pours a slightly hazy, copper gold, with middling head. Aroma is dank and hoppy. Flavor has a lot of hop bite to it, a bit of an alcohol burn, and lots of bitterness. This isn’t bad for a double IPA.

22 oz. bottle thanks to Eric S. Thank bid! Bottled on 12/14/2015. Hazy orange color with thin bubbly, fleeting white head. Aroma is floral with a solid amount of citrus. Mostly oranges.
The flavor has juicy texture, plenty of citrus. The bitterness is moderate with a sweeter malt finish. Malt doesn’t over run the palate but sweet without a doubt. Maybe a hint of resin. Body is medium with plenty of malt. Nice but this will be had pressed to compete in a very hop heavy New England IPA market.

Bad day at work, lets fix that! Slightly hazy light golden color with a generous tightly bubbled bone white head with great retention. juicy citrus tropical and pine dripping off the nose. Light bread and caramel with a touch of alcohol on the nose to round this out. Sweet bread up front, resinous earthy pine hops on the palette with a touch of bitter and alcohol on the finish. Medium body, a little sweet but somewhat drying at the finish. Moderate carbonation. Half a glass and my day is starting to wash away.
