Draught at Ginger Man, 11/9/17.
Hazy copper with an off-white head atop showing good retention for the style.
An aromatic mix of tropical, juicy hops and lactic acid in the nose with very light malt suggestions of honey, biscuit and such. Light acetic character, with tangerine, nectarine, pineapple and mango lingering long, as lactic acidity tapers off slowly. No alcohol or flaw.
Incredibly tropical and juicy hops don't clash with the souring agents, but I can't help but admit that I wish it weren't sour. Not that it's overdone with lactic acidity, nor is it intense, stark or ruinous on the palate; I just don't think it adds anything to have both flavor profiles in the same beer. The hops would provide ample acidity and I'd love to be able to really get at more of their complexity here. They're obviously marvelously fresh, flavorful and really well-done. Light malt sweetness balances pretty easily, with biscuit and cracker on the finish, as well. Good attenuation and engaging carbonation with a soft-to-slick texture and tons of tropical hop character mixed with lactic acid lingering long.

Pours murky gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Rhubarb and apricot aromas. Dry and very tart with rhubarb, apricot and lactic funk upfront quickly turning to mild marshmallow in the medium length finish.

On tap at McGillicuddy’s, Williston, VT.
This was poured into a mini-snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy bronzed orange color with a thin looking glazed over looking perhaps ruddy darkness to it. A light thin one finger white foamy head dissipated extremely quickly.
The smell started off with sweet apple, sour green apple, and some light citrus.
The taste takes the previously mentioned flavors and leads into a slightly dry and woody aftertaste running into the same sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine for the style and for me. Nice woody texture completes and abides in nice sour to sweet to tart feels rolling about.
Overall, I liked this one, but I don’t see the grapefruit and pineapple, hmmm...well, if anything, does it matter @ Hermit Thrush? Sometimes, just drink and be happy especially if one likes it.

Draft at the brewery. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The nose is fresh, juicy, fragrant, sweet pineapple, gooseberry and yellow plum. The taste is crisp, tart, fresh, juicy, sour pineapple, nectarine, good mouth - pucker and gooseberry with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fresh, tart and juicy. Pretty delicious stuff.
