Taster pour on draught at the brewery. Appearance is hazy pink with very mild sparkle, thin ring of off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is mild fruit, wheat, yeast. Mild--a bit like dust/cardboard. Taste is mild fruit with yeast, wheat and earthy beets. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a light, mix of sweet and tart fruit ideally suited for warmer-weather drinking.

Draught at the brewery, 9/16/17.
Obviously sporting real beets, it's bright, neon, blood red, as pictured. Our sample was initially hazy but cleared up quickly and became very clear with a rapidly fizzling, pink-tinged head.
The beet comes off as leather, earth and almost hibiscus, in the nose, with soft base malts adding light honey and white bread underneath. It, at least, takes the focus off of the ester and phenol profile, which otherwise provides typical bubble gum, clove and banana notes.
In the mouth it's initially fun, with lightly earthy, leathery, tart beet notes mixing with soft honey and spongey-like malt notes. Low, loose carbonation needs help and the beer slowly begins to fatigue with over-perceived sweetness.

4 oz. sample at the source. Color is a pink or purple in tone, thin white fast dying head. Aroma is a light earthy red beet and a mild soil note.

The flavor is the direct reflection of the aroma, beet, beet and more beets with a lightly lingering earthy note in the finish. Body is light and easy for summer drinking. Stacey liked it enough for a 8 oz. sample. Overall it does have a drinkable quality.
