Light haziness in this marigold-tinted, maize-copper beer. Dense white head atop shows strong retention.
Lots of melon in the nose, with light bubble gum-like esters, plentiful honey from the malt and a big burst of juicy fruit on the finish. There is certainly a bit of pine and grapefruit, but it's not problematic at all. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's soft, quite malty with a touch of caramel, even, but pretty well-attenuated overall and showing juicy fruits galore and strong melon. Lingering citrus, while light, helps add some balance to the sweet malts and overly fruity hops through the middle. Ultra-soft texture and creamy-like, tight carbonation. Quite nice and very competent for just having opened. Will gladly try more.
