Draught at the brewery, 8/4/17.
Soft, lightly hazy, apricot-honey-tangerine-golden with a medium-sized, white head showing moderate retention.
Leafy, "soft" lime mixes with rather delicate floral aromatics very much to my surprise. Thought this was going to be Morph with lager yeast and very given to pith, pineapple and pine. But not at all. Some light pineapple but it's dry and fades in to white bread/cracker and more peppery, floral notes.
A bit on the undercarbonated/loose side, but nice and assertive in flavor with pine and spice lingering. Great malt texture, at least, with proper, high attenuation. Spicy, floral hop characteristics are very dry and "peppery" from start to finish. Could definitely use a bit more juiciness or even malt depth, IMHO. But it's nice to see it's not overdone with resin/pine/grapefruit/pineapple.
