Thoroughly hazy bronze-golden with a medium-sized white head showing moderate retention.
Juicy pineapple, mango, apple and cherry in the nose indicate both well-expressed Austra-NZ style hops and also a very fruity yeast. It works well and complements the well-done hops, as biscuity malts show seemingly high attenuation in the background. Light pine and grapefruit grace the nose gently on the finish with no alcohol or flaw.
Soft, lightly sweet, malty texture graces the palate as pineapple, cherry, grapefruit and mango provide a heavily juicy flavor that shows low bitterness and only just a bit of bland specialty malt or bland yeast (can’t quite tell). No alcohol, resin or flaw. Some citrus and pine but it’s well-controlled and helps balance, slightly, the strong juiciness. Tight carbonation and good attenuation.
Wow, after the absolute failure that was their first sour post-Dave, this is definitely a surprise. They’re already making top tier NE IPAs....

4 oz. glass draft at the source. Appearance is the typical New England hazy IPA that is the craze right now. The hops used here were not disclosed by the Brewer but they come off earthy with tones of grapefruit and lemon rind.

The citrus grapefruits are right up front turning into a a earthy rustic grain finish. Maybe a bit of dirty resin in here as well. Dry texture with a little bit of a grainy feel. Yeah, overall pretty strong offering.
