32 oz crowler filled on draft at Dominion Wine & Beer on 8/31/2017, kicked the keg too. Consumed on 9/1/2017. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, herbs, light spice, light funk. Tastes of citrus, balanced funk, some herb, hay, some floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice dry hopped saison.

Draught at Brewer’s Tap and Table, 7/1/17.
Minimally hazy, blonde-bronze with maize tints and a good carbonation creating a small, but fairly well-retained white head.
Nose is quite biscuity and earthy with light white pepper and an ester profile of unripe nectarine and very light apple. Some honey and light vanilla-like notes emerge with warming. Very light on the hop character, which is nice for a change and there’s nothing crude or American here, yet there’s also nothing terribly compelling, either. No alcohol or flaw.
Biscuity and with a touch of light dough and cake icing-like sweetness. The malts grow bready as it wears on, with a hint of cereal character, white pepper-like phenols and more extremely dry, mild stone fruit-like character. The attenuation is good (high) and still the texture remains quite malty but unfortunately, it just gets too bready for me. Lots of earthy notes lingering with mild stone fruit and very light lemon accents. No alcohol or flaw. Fine, but wasn’t really in love with this one; which is pretty rare for Oxbow.
