Draught at Ginger Man Boston, 6/21/17.
Pretty, cloudy, tan-tinted strawberry-watermelon body is topped by a small, pinkish-beige-tinged, off-white head showing moderately-low retention for the style.
Leathery, tannic peach notes mix with bright, ebullient blackberry acids in the nose as light lactic and Brett acids bring up the rear, but certainly contribute solidly to providing a proper beer-like nose. It’s funny that the peaches seem to be a bit more dry and acidic than the blackberries, but that certainly can happen, being many different expressions of each species of fruit. The leathery, tannic, strong peach character is quite enjoyable and complements the wheat-like backdrop nicely, as light cereal and strong biscuit balance the acids. Peppery berry on the finish with a good fruit integration overall and little/no jamminess (I use jammy to describe under-macerated/under-attenuated fruit character that generally comes off too sweet and dominant). Lactic acidity is present, per style, but not overdone and is itself integrated well.
Strong texture provided by the wheat, with a good attenuation and engaging carbonation. Plentiful fruit acidity provided by the blackberries actually shows up much more prominently in the flavor than in the nose, oddly enough. Peaches add tannin and leathery, mineral-like character with strong but very dry biscuity wheat notes collecting on the finish. Moderate lactic acidity and a strong lingering berry acidity. While I love the texture and all of the fruit is well-integrated, attenuated and expressed, the finish and general force of the beer is a bit thin and overly dry. Not really a big complaint, as the beer is bursting with quality, but I would like a little more juiciness from the combined acidity.

Review from notes, Sample at The Microbrew Invitational 6/3/2017 Looks like cloudy pink grapefruit juice. Tart berries with an overwhelming peach aroma and flavor. Bright tartness. Pretty damn tasty sour ale.

4 oz tater at the source. Bright pink color. color. Aroma is light tart berries, light yogurt, subtle sour hints. Flavor has an obvious Berry dominate backbone with the peach kind of hidden. Center of the sip is yogurt followed by a pretty sharp sourness. The berries almost balance it. Or it could be that I am sensitive to sharp sourness.

Anyhow, the sour heads should enjoy this. Very dry texture with the fruit showing well.
