Our first use ever of African Queen hops! Super excited about this dank South African hop variety with a former 007 type code name like 98J17/63 packing dank blueberry, stone fruit and gooseberry flavors!

Can drunk 12/20/18.
Moderately-to-heavily hazy, light peach-brass-golden. White head fairly rapidly to ring.
Light tangerine, pineapple, meyer lemon and indistinct other yellow fruits. Not sure how old this is, since their date stamping is a joke at Commonwealth, but it is soft, fragrant and juicy with no edge to it at all. Even the citrus is round and bright. Malts in the background give the typical honey-cracker-biscuit, supportive but out-of-the-way. No alcohol or flaw. Hop seems pretty nice...
In the mouth it's indeed soft and juicy with a strong candied citrus and marmalade character leading to meyer lemon, light pineapple-nectarine and ending on honey and biscuit. Supple, malty and yet well-attenuated with engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. This is fruity, juicy, soft and flavorful with no thick NE IPA character or heavy yeast. Not intensely full of bubble gum. Alcohol is well-concealed.

16oz can at the early December Ratebeer DC Tasting. Poured a super hazy orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was pleasant juicy notes. Flavor had some light vanilla tropical fruit. Really pleasant.
