Draught at Ginger Man, 12/7/18.
Bright, peachy-gold with lighter lemon hues, a light haze and a small, white head atop showing moderate retention.
Nose is soft and well-aged mixed cultures adding moderate lactic acid and lightly fruity Brett. Peach, pear, yogurt, lemon...pretty classic American sour notes with very minor oak and no toast. Seems very gentle and has a good malt backbone of honey and biscuit with no alcohol or harsh acidity. Very fruity, growing lightly juicy even, with warming.
In the mouth it's malty and dry with low, tight carbonation and soft barrel tannin. A mix of nectarine, tangerine and lemon with moderate lactic acidity and gently fruity Brett. Gaining some tartness but never getting too sour or acidic. Honey and biscuit keep things soft and balanced while white grape, peach, melon and lemon linger on. No alcohol or flaw.
