In 2016 the Sheppy family celebrated 200 years and six generations of craft cider-making, and this special edition bicentennial blend was created to mark the occasion. With the use of home-grown traditional cider apple varieties, it embodies the family’s stewardship of their farm’s old orchards over the last century, and marks a moment to be celebrated as the family tradition continues into the future.
Sheppy's 200 Special Edition Cider is full-flavoured, with some traditional tannin undertones.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, well carbonated, no head. Clean apple juice aroma, sweet with hints of tartness. Taste in line with aroma, sweet apples with a tart finish, icing sugar, minor funk, semi dry. Light to medium bodied, nice smoothness on the palate With a fine carbonation. Very good cider.

500ml bottle shared with my son on 22nd August 2024. Drank in front of the TV before Grimsby lost 4-1 at Notts County! Apples, it tastes of apples, not sour grapes like we had later.

Clear golden pour with almost no head. Aromas of (sweet) apples, slightly tart. Tastes of sweet apples, some cinnamon and vanilla with tart/dry finish. Enjoyed it

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a clear with a white bubble head. Aroma sweet apple, leathery, tannin. Taste is semi-sweet, apple, little leathery. Nice one!

11/3/2021. Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear bright gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of semi sweet apples, caramel and light funky notes. Taste is sweet, toffee apple, light tartness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from Waitrose. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. PLenty of medium dry apple character, a hint of the farmyard and a moderately tart finish. Good.

Many Thanks for this traditional Cider to Jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com). elegancka etykieta, cydr bez piany, barwa jasno morelowa, w aromacie wyraznie dojrzale lub przedojrzale jablka. W smaku sok jablkowy, kwaskowy, wyraznie wytrawny malo slodki, bardzo tradycyjny i trafiajacy w moj gusy Cydr z Somerset.
