Draught at the brewery, 2014.
Clear, amber-dark-beige. Off-white head atop is small, showing moderately-low retention.
Rich, honeyed malts in the nose mix with strong, floral and herbal hops to give quite a powerful nose. Clean and not getting any soapiness. Sourdough and pretzel notes sit on the end with light minerality.
In the mouth it's soft and slick, surprisingly-so given the vienna and munich malts. Not hugely full of melanoidin, but mostly showing lightly bitter, herbal hops and moderate baked/toasted bread. Tight carbonation and good attenuation, though definitely quite malty on the end. No alcohol or flaw.

12 oz darft at Olde Magoun’s Saloon, Somerville, Ma. Split 2 ways. Clear gold color was a surprise. Aroma is caramel and bready malts, light CaraMunich, European grains, and mild lager yeast esters. Flavor matches the aroma with a really nice malt profile that has complexity without being overly sweet and a crisp, dry finish with some subtle hop bitterness. Light body. Overall, very old school and about what I was expecting from this.
