Old bottle from the shelf, drunk 9/15/18.
Canary yellow body shows light haziness. White head fades slowly to a ring.
Huge Brett in the nose is gorgeous and slowly gives way to a beautiful apricot character that mixes in the nicely with the Brett. Soft, well-aged and integrated, with light wheat and biscuit behind everything. Brett shows tons of leather, mineral and very gentle lime with light funk and a touch of lactic acidity perks up on the end, with warming.
Leathery stone fruit and Brett are a perfect complement to each other with light lime and hickory further continuing the perfectly developed Brett character. This is like a Brett pale ale to the max and I love every sip. Soft, lightly juicy, lightly acidic apricots grace the back of the throat while light biscuit and bits of honey show through from the malt and wheat. Juicy, tart, leathery on the end, lingering on lovingly. Wow. And to think this thing sat warm on the shelf for a few years.

500 ml bottle purchased at the brewery. Side by side comparison with the standard version. Same clear gold color and carbonation as the standard version. I used the same glass. Aroma has a lemon and lightly earthy nuance that covers the apricot. Also the yeast is notable.

The flavor is a direct reflection of the aroma. Yeast plays well with the fruit and carry over notes from the dry hopping. Like the standard version this has a great fruity tartness after the sip. The tartness lingers just slightly after the sip. The texture is juicy. Out of the two variants, this wins for me.

Bottle from Bert’s Hazy lemon yellow color with a bubbly white head that slowly recedes to a ring on top. Lemony tart with plenty of tropical hop and some earthy barnyard. Bitter and funk with some light pity citrus. Pretty damn good beer.
