500mL batch 2 bottled June 2017, drunk 9/15/18.
Dark chestnut with an off-white head that fades slowly to cover. Good clarity.
Bourbon is notable, but not overdone while typical Oxbow acid profiles reveal light acetic acid and moderate lactic, moderate Brett. Malts add an interesting caramel-raisin-toffee character which works well with the lightly spicy bourbon. Cherry and raisin continue to linger with a surprisingly low amount of alcohol coming through. Malts add light honey with warming and cherry-like acetic acid continues to build.
In the mouth it's soft, malty, well-attenuated with tight carbonation. Cherry, bourbon, vanilla and honey all provide comfort and rich complexity with spicy bourbon being well-done and showing light tannin-like textures, as well. Great richness through the middle, drying out nicely on the end with lingering acidity that is also had time to mellow.

Bottle shared by Mike. Thanks dude. As usual, I liked this more than Andrew and Mike did. Still a pretty meh beer though. It pours brown with a khaki head. The aroma smells of oxidation and raisins. A little toast, sour plums and dates. Medium sour with more sherry-like oxidative notes. Maybe a bad bottle.

On tap at Goods from the Woods 2014 with Festero. Sweet maltiness with big bourbon went down smooth on a beautiful day.
