Draught at Row 34, 9/3/18.
A lightly hazy, deep golden-maize with even a hint of auburn in there. White head atop is small, fading to ring fairly quickly.
Nose is a good mix of phenol and ester showing yellow fruits galore, lots of white pepper and light clove with just a hint of banana. No alcohol noted in the nose and lots of base/pils malt to add rich honey. Very spicy, probably well-hopped with some noble variety and showing a pretty good balance overall.
In the mouth it's soft and malty with well-developed honey and biscuit notes yet showing a very high attenuation with the yeast producing lots of pepper, clove, light bubble gum and yellow fruit notes. Hints of lime/lemon, dried herbs and a respectable but not-overdone bitterness. Strong, reasonably engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Pretty straightforward. With warming and breathing some slightly more interesting yeast notes appear; gentle mineral/plaster/cellar-like funk. Not sure what exactly they were going for here. It's very straight forward, but well-done.
