Draught at Cunard Tavern, 7/27/18.
Heavily hazy-to-soupy, dark brass-maize. White head atop is thin and shows low retention.
In the nose is very fruity but quickly pine and twangy papaya is added to this. Softens some with deep, dank, green notes and a bit of red grapefruit and mango, as honey-like malts enter the mix, sweetening things and balancing quite easily. A touch of alcohol and/or sharp ester on the finish, but not problematic.
In the mouth it's quite a jumble of red and yellow fruits yet also containing PNW elements of pine and grapefruit. Lime-papaya and light resin burn dot the finish with soft, sweet malts showing honey, biscuit and a touch of caramel. Semi-engaging carbonation is extremely low, contributing to a higher perceived sweetness and concentrating the resin on the end, as well. Still, it maintains itself, having quite a bit of pleasant fruitiness and definite juice notes. Just a shade sweet at points, really.
