Bomber drunk 5/27/18.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, soft, peach-apricot-golden. Small white head sits lightly at cover.
Peach, apricot, pear and apple show plentiful, enjoyable esters, with a good helping of soft base malts for balance. No hot clove and bubble gum here, with lots of pepper and various other spicy phenols from the champagne yeast. Surprisingly low on the alcohol with long nectarine, apricot, orange and lemon notes lingering alongside cereal and biscuit.
Peach and citrus in the flavor soaks in to biscuit and honey-like malts with peppery champagne notes and tight, engaging carbonation. Good attenuation and a soft, malty texture keep it drinkable with no alcohol or flaw noted. Vanilla, pear and star fruit linger on the finish and retronasal.

4 oz. draft at Maine Beer Cafe. Decent for the sour lovers. (Maybe) I say that very cautiously. You have to like champagne since they used champagne yeast. But it honestly seems like some oxidation has set in. The flavor has Brett, yeasty esters, cardboard, and maybe vinegar. Yeah, the flavor is exactly the aroma. Barrel is here but it also displays an off cardboard or “butter” like note. Interesting....
