Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: copper color with an ever so slight transparency along the sides of the glass with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mixed citrusy to piney hops with a touch of floral and a light woody tone to them as well; slight malty backbone - somewhat bready
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a fine semi-sweet to slightly bittersweet quality; finishes leaning into the malts and a little bit of non-distracting dry note
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability; good smoothness, good level of carb to this
Overall: I liked this one for me and would welcome it again.

Illegible canning date, drunk 5/2/22. Light chill-haze in this deep copper-bronze-golden beer. Large, creamy, dense head is a buttery-beige and very well-retained. Mineral-rich yeast with strong honey and light caramel from the malts provides a could backdrop for gently acidic hops to enliven. Woodsy, gently piney and lightly citric, they help balance the big maltiness here. No alcohol, flaw or hop twang/resin noted. Big and malty with high attenuation. Soft texture, almost creamy. Honey and biscuit with light white bread and strong bitterness on the end to balance. It's a little more bitter than I was expecting, but it's not problematic and this is an IPL, after all. Amarillo and Centennial just don't do it for me. I'm all for experimentation, but I think there's good reason why noble hops go well in European lagers. Just too much dominant citrus and pine that obscures the minerality and malt. Maybe a nod to American hopheads, and that's fine, but it's not my thing.

Can at home, watching Slavia Prague vs City, from CW online 18/02/21. Lightly hazed golden orange with a well presented just off white cap. Nose is pale malts, light breads, trace of dusty hops, grass, lemon tinged straw, tangerine. Taste comprises grass, melon, soft bready malts, light herb tingle, lemon peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with mellow juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent clean drinking hoppy lager ... more on the lager than the hoppy side of things for me which makes a pleasant change!

Can at home picked up from cloudwater online. A almost clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting lose white head. Aroma is nice fresh clean pils grains, lime, lemon, st clements, green citrus, Flavour is composed of crisp pils grains, light straw, lime, green citrus, little perfume, light saison quality. Palate is semi sweet, crisp, light tart, fresh, moderate carbonation. Really well put together.

Super crisp, pure golden coloured body with a tall, microfoamed yet slightly soapy tan head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of deep crisp grain, biscuity notes and a smooth, relatively strong lager yeast note, but very easy-going and not pungent at all - noticeable, but in a good way. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Crisp and dry malt notes show at first with a lot of fresh hop notes that highlight the citrus, grassy and floral side of things, but don't have any real bitterness to them, but do produce the nice dry character. Aftertaste shows the lager yeast, a dry hit of malts that show some floral and especially grassy components, but ends with the proper balance of fresh hops and smooth malt, all under the lager umbrella. Overall, a very nice, respectable, flavourful and smooth hoppy lager that definitely shows as a lager, but in a fresh, crisp and very classy way. Great to sample this one, especially fresh...I'll be happy to visit Maine soon and perhaps find more of this one or get others like it from Oxbow! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 10-July-2020 for US$3,77, while canned on 29-May-2020, sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-August-2020.

Pours clear deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet hay and biscuit aromas. Crisp with honey, wet hay and pith upfront turning to bitter roots and pine in the medium length finish.

Can at Whole Foods: pours clear golden with white head. Aroma is that if a German lager with really amped up hoppiness. Taste is lightly bitter. nice light bready malt backbone. Light citrus and hints of pine. Quite nice.
