Also integrating Valley Malt Pilsner grown in Hadley, MA, the concept for Crib is deeply rooted in our continued vision for building a healthier, more sustainable regional food system here in the northeast. One that connects all levels of the supply chain, from growers and producers to researchers and the public, allowing for education and access to local, nutritious food.
This bright, straw-colored Corn Lager, presents a delicate range of aromatics. An array of malt-forward notes greet the palate upfront, featuring tones of fresh-baked biscuit, water cracker, and lightly toasted corn chips. As the beer opens up, the Saaz shines with a floral-meets-grassy profile adding a nuanced highlight and welcomed soft bitterness. Crib is light-bodied, thirst-quenching, and finishes crisp.

Pours a clear, pale golden yellow, with minimal head. Aroma is corn, bread, malt, light hops. Flavors largely follow. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Craft beer version of Budweiser, et al.?

Pours pale yellow into a nonic. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing spiders. Sweet corn muffin aromas. Sharp with crisp corn and hay turning to slighly sweet kettlecorn before the lasting earth finish.

Fort Point draught, 3/28/22. Crystal clear, pale brass. Maybe it's the lighting but the head looks yellow-tinted. Half a finger, moderate-to-strong retention. Floral and herbal hop notes are fresh and spicy. Malts add layers of honey and wheaty biscuit. Clean with complex minerality and no alcohol noted. Big bursts of corn, honey and biscuit dough mix in to herbal, peppery hops with a good balance of bitter and malty on the end. Tons upon tons of flavor here even approaching sourdough. Consistently impressed by their lagers - they're clean, malty, dry and full of mineral with delicate but ample hopping.
