Canned 2/17/22, drunk 3/17/22. Heavily hazy, bright, tan-maize-golden with a large, frothy, white head showing moderate-to-strong retention. Smells like a lot of malt and light resin mixing to give a sour citrus and/or sourdough-like note to the aroma. Thankfully some more lighthearted, brighter melon, strawberry and juicy orange help balance, for the most part. It continues to soften with warming and breathing, moving more and more towards juicy citrus and honey with a light, welcome, spicy pine note lingering, as well. No alcohol or flaw. Clean. Soft and juicy with rich, deep, comforting, well-attenuated malts. Orange, mango, vanilla and pine spice all balance nicely with a touch of light resin on the very end, but not problematically so. Mineral and fruity esters never disrupt the hops/malt and no alcohol or flaw is noted. Very soft and juicy with a fabulous malt texture that their DIPAs usually have.
